The Beginning
Kramer Marine Engineering B.V. is founded in 2010. The company has already 15 years experience at the start, skills gained at several large Dutch shipyards, like: Verolme Botlek, YVC IJsselwerf, Royal Schelde, Van der Giessen-de Noord, Oceanco and IHC-Merwede.

Advise and checking of fatigue calculations and adjustments to the spud can construction in order to gain an exemption by DNV for the 5-yearly survey and stay in position without dry-docking for 10 years for the Sea Fox 1 for Unocal 76.

Damen Schelde Naval Shipbuilding
As an employee for Royal Schelde working in the function of (lead) structural engineer on several ship types, such as a Bituminous Tanker, a conversion of a Heavy Transport Vessel into a DP Stone Dumping Vessel and for the Royal Dutch Navy e.g.:

Lead structural engineer for the mast containing the radars on the air defense frigate.

During the conversion several engineering tasks where performed in close cooperation with the client, on the Shipyard Scheldepoort, located in Vlissingen-Oost. The Seahorse was converted from a Heavy Transport Vessel into a DP-Stone Dumping Vessel for Deeprock, a joint venture between Tideway and Boskalis.

A Damage Repair Instruction Unit is used by the Navy as an trainings unit of a sinking ship simulation. A unit like this is installed on the training facility. Therefore the engineering has been done at the Royal Schelde as a lead structural engineer.

Several structural calculations and drawings have been made, working as a structural engineer at the Royal Schelde in a new built engineering’s team.
